Production planning sheet
Who is in your group?
Aaron, Thalia, Damian
What subgenre of thriller are you planning to make? Why this subgenre? What initial ideas do you have?
Horror – they are the most conventional thrillers and I think that they are the easiest to do and make look effective.
Initially, the ideas we have is to do a horror with a psycho killer, and a conventional hero who tracks them down and saves the day. There will be clues everywhere.
Which location will you use? How are they conventional?
Slaughter house
Spinney bridge
Toft tunnel
They are conventional because they look abandoned and scary to film in, they add atmosphere.
Who will be your actors? Why? What conventional characters will you use? What costume/make up will you use?
The actors are Aaron and Thalia, because we think that we have the best idea as to what to do.
Thalia will be the antagonist and be mysterious/hidden so that it doesn’t give away the identity whereas the protagonist will be open to see.
What will be the narrative for your opening? Will you have a chronological narrative/flashbacks?
The narrative will be based on a psycho antagonist doing brutal killings, and the protagonist notices clues around the location to track them down, there will be mind games throughout.
What titles will you include?
Names, editors, production ident, producers
What sound will you use?
Non-diegetic footsteps and a creepy soundtrack
Which thrillers have influenced you? How? How do they influence you?
Saw because they were produced by twisted pictures and they have a good narrative.
